Making the correct diagnosis in the management and treatment of patients, remains a top priority for any health practitioner. Ultrasound plays a crucial part in the clinical diagnosis. It contributes to confirm a suspected pathology rapidly. The overall aim of this course is to give you the advantage and knowledge when it comes to upper abdominal as well as pelvic ultrasound. To be able to perform a pelvic ultrasound examination one needs to understand both transvaginal and transabdominal techniques, as well as the common pelvic abnormalities that may be encountered while performing a scan.
This course is appropriate for sonographers, radiographers, midwives and general practitioners. Delegates should have an appropriate medical qualificatin and have access to an ultrasound scanner to improve upon their ultrasound skills.
