FPD received funding from HWSETA to establish the Work Experience Internship for people with disabilities in 2013.
With this funding FPD has placed a total number of 17 learners within FPD and partner health districts for a 12-month work experience internship. This opportunity was extended to disabled young people who have post matric qualifications but are struggling to find employment.
The programme was a great success and the interns' contracts are coming to an end at the end of April 2014.
FPD received funding from HWSETA to establish the Work Experience Internship for FET Graduates in 2014.
With this funding FPD has placed a total number of 56 learners within FPD and partner health districts for a 12 months' work experience internship.
This opportunity entails provision of work experience in various fields such as Information Technology, Finance and Office Administration. We hope to mentor and couch these 56-young people and ensure that their level of knowledge and experience improves in the duration of the Internship.
