FPD collects vast amounts of data across its various clusters, departments, projects, and subsidiaries. While FPD has traditionally excelled in converting data into actionable information, the data was often disjointed and unorganized across different clusters and departments, making it difficult for management to access a single, consolidated source for informed decision-making.

STRATEGIC INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY UNIT
Recognizing this challenge, FPD established the Strategic Information Unit (SIU) in 2022 to create a robust, consolidated data collection and reporting platform. This platform transforms data into knowledge, knowledge into insight, and insight into wisdom, allowing our data to tell a compelling story.

The SIU has since combined with the IT unit to become the FPD Strategic Information & Technology Unit (SITU). SITU is a Latin term meaning "In position“. The SITU mission is ‘Developing systems to strategically position FPD and its clients’.

The FPD Data Pipeline, a comprehensive data lake, consolidates data from multiple sources, both internal and external. This centralized system facilitates data management and analysis, serving as the ‘single source of truth’ for all official FPD reporting. From this pipeline, the SIU develops custom PowerBi dashboards for stakeholders, optimizing data use and integrated reporting for informed decision-making, early identification of challenges, and comprehensive reporting.

These business intelligence (BI) dashboards are embedded in an online, password-protected repository known as the FPD Data Gallery. The Data Gallery provides an interactive portal for team members, management, and other stakeholders to gain insights at all levels.
