FPD operates as a joint venture partner with XL Turners Travel. The FPD Travel Bureau is a self-funding business unit with the purpose of assisting clients off-site with travel management services.

FPD specialises in corporate travel management and conference destination management solutions and is dedicated to ensuring your business gets the maximum value for your corporate travel budget. In collaboration with XL Turners Travel's powerful position in the industry, we are able to ensure that we offer the most competitive rates from airlines, car rental companies and hotels whilst remaining independent enough to pay personal attention to your travelers.

With our focused client-centred approach, technological solutions, processes and procedures, we endeavour to resolve your needs and exceed your expectations. Our expertise in the field is used to reduce costs in service delivery and strategic supplier negotiations. We will plan everything from individual traveller itineraries through to large groups and conferences.

With our extensive knowledge of corporate travel, we have designed our technology to offer the security, flexibility and independence needed for delivery of service both global and locally. A complete understanding of your company and its travel objectives enable us to identify which solutions will be best to provide deliverables that will aid your business.

Scope of Services

FPD acknowledges that our clients require efficient and effective systems to ensure compliance with stringent Auditor General financial policies. As such, FPD can confirm that our Travel Bureau management systems meets the requirements of international donor agencies such as the Global Fund and USAID. Additionally, FPD’s Travel Bureau will adhere to the requirements as specified, by providing documented travel policies, enforcing the prerequisite controls, procedures and travel booking instructions. All telephonic travel bookings are confirmed immediately by fax or e-mail. The passengers’ names, flights, destinations, times and dates of departure and arrival are recorded for your convenience as well as any car hire and/or hotel requirements. Order numbers are obtained for all bookings and we guarantee to procure the necessary approvals or authorisations.

FPD Travel Bureau will always be reachable by telephone / mobile phone at any time of the day for emergency/after-hours services purposes and will provide both after-hours and emergency contact details. The official travel requirements for travellers will be accorded the highest priority, ensuring timely and effective processing should FPD be selected as your preferred supplier.

Events Experience

FPD has extensive experience in organising large healthcare -related conferences including local and international conferences since 2000, beginning with the organisation of the XIII International AIDS Conference held in Durban. Whether the meeting is a compact corporate or sales conference or an international congress for 10 000 people together with our groups division, FPD is able to provide a professional management solution for venues, audio-visual services, registration, exhibitions, social function, accommodation, destination management and travel arrangements.
